On Saturday, at the Bang Saray Recruits Training Center of the Sattahip Navy Base, a survey was done to evaluate the desired careers of the navy personnel who will be soon going back to the civilian world. The analysis was conducted to help the conscripts return to civilian life with professions and skills that will enhance their livelihoods.
Officials from the Labor Station and the Chairman of the Career Development Committee of the Royal Thai Navy, Admiral Tammanoon Sukwattana, visited the Recruits Training Center to oversee the survey in person.
The most preferred careers reported to the Admiral were painting, building, and driving special vehicles. Training programs will be held to help the sailors to to qualify for their desired careers, and remain employed for a long time by using their skills.
An electronics library was officially opened in Bang Saray on Friday morning. At the Recruiting Training Center, Khun Duangporn Poomhiran, president of the Navy Wives Association together with members were welcomed by Captain Noppadol Supaporn, commandant at the Center, who then opened the library as part of celebrations in honor of HM the King’s 84th birthday in December. The library will be a source of internet, and audio visual education for naval officers and their families.

Today also sees the band depart for Karma Sound Studios in Bang Saray, Thailand to begin recording the follow up to ‘All Our Kings Are Dead’, with producer Dan Weller once again at the helm. Speaking of the anniversary of the debut album’s release and the newly released Gold Edition, vocalist Gustav Wood says, “It only seems like yesterday that we released ‘All Our Kings Are Dead’. On the other hand though, it has brought us a lot of opportunities and allowed us to cover a lot of ground in that short space of time. It’s nice to be able to add to the album release with bonus features and a documentary that we feel tells the story of the last couple of years.”
“To find myself a year later on the way to the airport to record the follow up in Thailand is simply mind-blowing. We’ll be back in August gearing up for the whole process to start again! We can’t wait to see everyone at the shows in September, where we’ll be previewing some of the new songs for the first time.”
The bands previously announced UK headline tour, sees them playing the following venues:

The battle of politically-motivated vandalism continues in Sattahip where more campaign billboards – this time for Democratic Party candidates – were destroyed.
Six signboards for Chonburi Zone 8 MP candidate Maitree Soiluang and Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva were defaced with profane graffiti in Sattahip moos 5 and 6. Other signs had the politicians’ faces excised. The damage had apparently been done over several days, but not reported until June 11.

Former Moo 5 village chief Natchai Sangsri said he contacted police and urged locals to refrained from the vandalism, even if they oppose the candidates or their political party. He said such vulgarity only spreads dissent and offends people who see the signs.
Jakkrit Kraimat, the Democrats chief representative in Chonburi, said he inspected the damage and urged police to find the vandals.
The latest round of sign defacements follows similar incidents in late May against Democrat billboards in Najomtien and Puea Thai Party sign boards near Bang Saray. Unrest is expected continue through the polls on July 3.
